Divination is not a religious sanctum, but rather, knowledge beyond that which the human eye can see, beyond that which the human ear may hear and beyond that which the hand may reach. Religious theists argue that divination consists only of that which has been prophesized in holy texts and falls within divinity’s graces alone. They also preach that those who portend in any way of prophetic knowledge attained separate from religiously sanctified means is indicative of devil worship. These loose interpretations are baseless and unfounded and are used by mankind as weapons against the other, even so without the need for provocation.
Spiritualism, by definition means “the view that spirit is a prime element of reality.” [Webster’s] Most religions, including Christianity and Judaism, believe that we are all one, and therefore united, under God and furthermore that man was created in God’s image, referring to the spirit, which was created by God. As anyone can see, spiritualism is a healthy belief in God’s creation and in God as the creator. Religious theists further teach, as their interpretation of scripture, that spiritualism is occultism that defies the word of scripture and therefore, anyone with a belief in spiritualism or individual divination is ruled by the devil. Additionally, religious backbones summarize that the only Word of God is written within the Bible and that is the only word of God, as written by prophets of God. Most interestingly, religious followers will also tell you that any type of clairvoyant ability is “evil” because that’s what it says in the Bible. What they fail to tell you, is that scripture was written by man through man’s clairvoyant abilities and personal spiritualism. The Bible, just as any other book, is a tome nonetheless. It was written by man, God’s prophets. Scripture so eloquently sets forth to watch for false teachers and prophets. What is a false prophet? “False prophets are not those who speak truth, but rather, those who speak in tongue of the truth under the deity of evil intention.” [The Constellation of Omens]. The only prophets within the history of mankind did not solely exist thousands of years ago. That is a ludicrous presumption. Likewise to fear those within the light of divination today, while believing in the psychic awareness of those existing in ancient times is a stark contradiction of faith. If you are among the contradicted, it’s time for a bit of introspection to ascertain where exactly it is that your faith truly lies – with God, or within the clutches of words contained within religious doctrines.
