Submissions are now being accepted. You retain all of the rights to your poetry. Deborah’s previously published poetry anthologies: Expressions, Love & Romance Poetry Anthology, Tales of the Supernatural and Ethereal Erotica featuring the work of poets from around the world are now literary centerpieces spanning the globe. Poetry enthusiasts everywhere enjoy reading pages and pages of magnificent verse scrupulously penned by today’s brilliant poets. Being an internationally respected author and poetry enthusiast herself, Deborah has had the distinct pleasure of discovering poets with extraordinary talent and reviving the virtuoso literary art of poetry. Continuing her longstanding tradition of uncovering, publishing and showcasing exceptional poetic talent, she is once again accepting submissions from poets from around the world for consideration and inclusion in her upcoming poetry anthology American Patriotism.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
1. THEME - The anthology will observe the following theme: American Patriotism. Looking for poetry that excites inspiration, tears, joy, extreme emotion and restores the faith of Americans in America, in liberty and in freedom. People are losing their faith in America, what she stands for and where she is headng. Seeking poetry that restores hope in the principles America was founded on, paying tribute to those who fight for our liberties, what the American Flag stands for, honor and courage. Your poetry should not be vulgar and should not be explicit in nature. Your poetry must be creatively bold and captivating. Your poetry must appeal to the heart of the reader. Inspiring poetry that incites emotion.
Whether you reside in the U.S. or in another country and your life has been touched by an American Soldier, submit your tribute. It is the American Soldier who continues to sweat, bleed and die for our liberties and freedoms.
You may adhere to your own style of writing, i.e., any form is acceptable.

2. WHAT TO SUBMIT – You may submit up to five (5) poems for consideration. Please refrain from inclusion of anything offensive. Submissions with vulgar language, attacks on any race, creed or religion will not be considered. Additionally, due to the wide audience this book will reach, overly explicit material will not be accepted.
3. LINE COUNT – Please limit your line count to a maximum of 25 lines.
4. RIGHTS - The work must be your own and by submitting your entry for inclusion you hereby acknowledge that you own all of the rights to the poem. No collaborative works may be submitted. You may submit previously published work ONLY if you maintain the publishing rights.
5. GRAMMAR - It is up to you to make sure there are no spelling errors, typos and/or grammatical errors in your work. Prior to submitting, please proofread your work. Each poem must be fully edited and ready for publishing prior to submitting your work for consideration. “Cross all of your T’s and dot all of your I’s.” Be sure you have read and re-read your work prior to submission. Your work will be rejected for poor grammar.
6. TITLE – Be sure to title each poem. “Untitled” poems will not be considered.
7. ABOUT THE AUTHOR - Include a short paragraph about yourself in the “Author Bio” field in the submission form. This paragraph will be published with your poetry. Your paragraph must be no more than six (6) sentences.
8. ROYALTIES – Contributing authors do not receive royalties on sales. Likewise, Deborah does not require you to pay anything for your work to be published.
9. AUTHOR COPIES – Deborah will send each contributing author a free E-Version of the published book. If you would like a paperback version, contributing authors will be given the option to purchase same at a pre-publication discount prior to publication.
10. AUTHORS RECEIVE: If your work is accepted for publication, you will receive your own chapter in the book, worldwide distribution, publishing credits and international exposure. If you are a poet just starting out or even if you are known in the poetic arena, being published in an anthology alongside other great writers gives poetry enthusiasts a chance to not only learn who you are and learn of your work, but gives them an opportunity to compare your work to other poets.
11. Be sure to attach your author picture in the field provided in the submission form below.
